Oredigger Disability Activism and Community (ODAC) is a passionate group at Mines, united by a commitment to fostering inclusivity and understanding. We represent the voices and needs of disabled students and faculty, ensuring they have a community that hears, supports, and advocates for them.
To keep our mission alive and impactful, we organize various ODAC events throughout the year. These events serve as platforms for dialogue, awareness and change, aiming to break down barriers and misconceptions around disabilities.
In the past, our involvement in the ClothesLine Project spotlighted the violence faced by individuals with disabilities and our 'Disability in the Workplace' event sponsored by Northrop Grumman empowered students to confidently step into their engineering careers. Currently, we're proudly backing a senior design project focused on an innovative navigation app tailored to guide students along accessible routes. We also provide fidget tools—a crucial aid for many students, helping them navigate academic and social scenarios with more ease and confidence.
Your contribution is more than just a donation—it's a pledge to stand with us in creating an inclusive Mines community. Every dollar raised will be invested in our events and projects, particularly in procuring fidget tools for those who need them. Together, with your support, we can bring about a tangible change, ensuring that Mines is accessible and empathetic to the diverse needs of all its members.
